The next day, you’ll pass through a regency with unique, world-renowned natural attractions. You’ll see the three-colored lakes, located side by side. Lake Kelimutu has a mystical story believed by the locals. You’ll hear stories directly from the locals. You will also visit Detusoko Village. A traditional house is still available with its traditional ancient daily life practice.

In the next regency, you’ll explore the small islands of Riung. This area is famous for its pristine marine tourism. You’ll see intact coral reefs, and you’ll see them firsthand on the uninhabited islands. Thousands of bats fly around the island. Snorkeling on this deserted and uncrowded beach will add to the excitement of your Flores vacation.

Furthermore, around this regency, you’ll visit a pristine traditional village called Bena Village. In Bena Village, you’ll be amazed by the practices of Flores’ ancestors, still preserved to this day. The unique houses are lined up side by side, with each family living in their own traditional home.

In the next regency, you’ll be treated to a unique traditional dance, called the Vera Dance. Uniquely, this dance is only performed at night in certain traditional houses. The chanting of the dancers has a special meaning, which is said to be understood only by the villagers themselves.

Your next stop is the traditional Waerebo Village. A short hike through the pristine interior and mountains leads to this village. You’ll be amazed by the traditional houses there. They are cone-shaped and roofed with palm leaves. Steeped in history, this village is nestled in the middle of the jungle. The next day, hunt for Komodo dragons with your camera. Enter the forest, the natural habitat of the ancient Komodo dragon. Explore the beautiful islands surrounding Komodo, such as Padar Island, Rinca Island, and many more.

FLORES TOUR PACKAGE 10 DAYS AND 9 NIGHTS ITINERARY:

DAY 01: MAUMERE AIRPORT – CAPA HOTEL –  WURING VILLAGE

Upon arrival at Frans Lega Airport, our staff will meet you for check-in at Capa Resort Maumere. This hotel is located on Waiara Beach and offers stunning ocean views. In the afternoon, our staff will take you to the traditional fishing village of Wuring. This village is known as the floating village. The fishermen’s houses are built above the sea. Afterward, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 02: MAUMERE – MONI (100Km)

The next day, we will pick you up in the morning after breakfast. The next stop is a heritage church built in 1899. After a few minutes, we will head to a traditional weaving workshop for Sikka weaving. In this village, you can see firsthand the process of making Sikka ikat weaving. Afterward, we will have lunch at Paga Beach. After lunch, we will stop at Koka White Beach. You can enjoy swimming or swimming on the beach to unwind. Then, we will continue to Kelimutu Village. Stay at a hotel in Kelimutu.

DAY 03: KELIMUTU VOLCANO – RIUNG (180 KM)

Wake up early and get ready to walk the path to the summit of Mount Kelimutu. It will take about 30 minutes to reach the summit. From above, you will see the beauty of the lake with its colorful backdrop. The sunrise will adorn the natural beauty there. Don’t forget to bring your camera because this will be the most beautiful moment of your life. After being satisfied with the beauty above, you will go down to the hotel to check out. The next spot is the museum, a legacy of former Indonesian President Soekarno. This is where the president was temporarily detained by the Dutch colonialists. Next, have lunch at Nanga Penda Beach and then continue the journey to Riung.

DAY 04: RIUNG – 17 ISLAND – BAJAWA (FULL DAY SNORKELING TRIP)

You are to make a boat trip to 17 islands National park. Guide and driver should be there ready for you. Bring your swimming attire and a towel. Here you will have a coral reef snorkeling but the first stop is at flying fox island to see thousands of flying foxes hanging on the mangrove trees. Enjoy the quiet island here. Afternoon ride to Bajawa and stay overnight in Bajawa.

DAY 05 : BAJAWA – BENA VILLAGE – VERA DANCE (85 KM)

In the morning after breakfast, please be in the lobby again at 6:30 am. Your tour guide and driver should be there ready for you. You are to be taken via 1 hour drive to the village of Bena. This is a very popular traditional village. The location with the megalith stones besides the old houses with the background of Inerie volcano make it perfect. Spend an hour here then drive to Borong. Explore Kenda Forest to see hundreds of Flores birds accompanied by a local guide. Enjoying Rongga Vera Traditional Dance in Kisol. Then drive to Borong to stay overnight here.

DAY 06: BORONG – SEPIWATU – RUTENG (50 KM)

After breakfast at Borong Hotel, stop at Sepiwatu beach. This beach is decorated with rows of black rocks with black sand. On the way to Ruteng, stop at Rana Mese Lake, a protected rainforest lake that is still beautiful. Drive to Ruteng for lunch then head to Liang Bua to see Flores ancient human fossils. This place is surrounded by very beautiful rice terraces. Stop at Ruteng Puu Village before heading to the hotel to check in.

DAY 07: RUTENG-CANCAR – WAE REBO (115 KM)

Early morning we leave Borong then drive to Cancar to see the unusual form rice field panorama from golo cara hill, it shows like spyderbilt. Then drive to Denge about 3 hours whereas the starting point of hiking to Wae Rebo. Wae Rebo is the last remaining traditional Manggaraian ethnic village with traditional houses. Located at an altitude of 1.125 meters above the sea level in the nature conservation forest. It takes about 4 hours hiking to the top point of the village(7Km).

DAY 08:  WAE REBO – LABUAN BAJ0 (120 KM)

We leave Wae Rebo after breakfast, then walk down for about 2 hours. We drove to Labuan bajo for about 6 hours. On the way, stop at Lembor to see another spider web rice field and Lunch. Then, we drive to Labuan bajo to stay overnight.

DAY 09: LABUAN BAJO – KELOR ISLAND – MANJARITE ISLAND – KALONG ISLAND

Morning drop to the harbor then sail to the island. Enjoy the view on the sidelines of the small islands surrounding the way to Kelor Island. Discovering Kelor Island then Explore Manjarite Island. Lunch on the Boat then sail to Kalong Island. Kalong island or bat island and enjoy the sunset here. Dinner and stay overnight at the boat.

DAY 10: PADAR ISLAND – KOMODO ISLAND – PINK BEACH – MANTA POINT – AIRPORT

Breakfast on the boat while enjoying the sunrise. Discovering Padar Island. Register to the Komodo National Park office. Go walk to Banu Nggulung to search for the big lizard which grows up to 3 meters in length and 150 kg in weight accompanied by Komodo rangers. Stay close to the rangers. If you are lucky, you will find Timorese’s deer, birds, wild boars, lizards and many more. Swimming at pink Beach then snorkeling at manta point. Visit Kanawa Island and drop by the airport. (note: Flight back should catch the afternoon flight 17.00 onward)
